Default Regular links with reciprocal

This may be a dumb question but not sure what to do. Regular links with reciprocal, what does this mean? What is the reciprocal?

From: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/R/reciprocal_link.html

A reciprocal link is an agreement between two webmasters to provide a hyperlink within their own website to each other's web site.

I did a Google search and there's lots of info about reciprocal links that came up:

Thanks, Dana. I do understand that Reciprocal link means that I place a link from my web site to yours, and you place a link from your web site to mine.
What do I put down for the Reciprocal link - what url? The same as my website? So I would give them my url(website) and when they asked for the Reciprocal link i would give them their url???? Kinda Lost

I think you'd need to manually put a link for their website somewhere on your site. And maybe they are asking for the specific URL because some websites have multiple pages?

For example, if your website has multiple pages, they may be asking for the specifric URL for the page that the recipriocal link is on?
