Granted, IE8 was released before FireFox v3.5.4, but we are in the present not the past. So correctly speaking, FireFox is faster then IE8.

This "fast-factor" really boils down to your computer and internet connection.

Well, yes. On smaller web pages that is. Any browser will load a small webpage basically instantly. What the speed is for though is those sites with a bunch of ads, crazy stylesheets, and a million <div>'s.

websites just look better in firefox, ie they look like crap..

FF used to shut down on me in the middle of doing offers all the time. It was so annoying. & I don't like that when you click on something within a page it opens up as a new tab...I can't stand that. I think both are pretty fast, but I like IE8 better.

You can always just open up options, click on tabs, and then uncheck the box that says "Open new windows in a new tab instead"

I am with you I used to use IE (recently IE8) for everything but it is so slow my fiance swears by FF and I just started using it but I am so glad I did, there are a few things i still have to use IE for because it just works better for those but other then that I am happy I made the switch
